The Sun
Meaning
The Sun is card nineteen. The classic card shows a bright sun with a face shining over a garden wall lined with sunflowers. In front, a smiling child rides a white horse, arms outstretched, one hand holding a red banner. There’s no shadow and no hidden detail. Everything is in plain view. After the confusing night of The Moon, The Sun is the morning: warm, simple, and clear, with nothing left to decode.
In a reading, The Sun points to happiness, confidence, and success that feels earned and easy to share. It speaks to times when things are going well or when clarity returns after a hard time. It also speaks to energy, play, and being yourself without apology. The card asks you to let yourself enjoy it. Good moments count too, and noticing them can make it easier to carry that warmth into the rest of your life.
