Terms of Service
Effective date: October 6, 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and Pavel Motorin, an individual developer, Resavska 33, stan 1, 11000 Belgrade, Serbia (“we”, “us”), for the website tarottoldme.app and the Tarot Told Me mobile app (together, the “Service”). By using the Service you accept them. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. Who can use the Service
You must be at least 18 years old. By using the Service you confirm that you are.
2. What Tarot Told Me is, and is not
Tarot Told Me is a tool for self-reflection and entertainment. It uses tarot cards as images to think with.
- The Service does not predict the future and does not tell you what to do. Any decision you make is yours alone.
- The Service is not medical, psychological, legal, or financial advice, and it does not replace a qualified professional. We are not psychologists or therapists, and using the Service does not create a professional relationship with us.
- Do not use the Service in an emergency. If you are in crisis or thinking about harming yourself or someone else, contact your local emergency number or a crisis line in your country right away.
3. AI-generated content
Some readings in the app are generated by generative artificial intelligence, using models from OpenAI: The Reading, My Story, and the closing passage of a ritual. Basic card interpretations and Card of the Day are pre-written texts. This section is our advance notice to you that the Service uses generative AI.
AI-generated text can be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable for your situation, and similar text may be generated for other users. It is not reviewed by a person before you see it. Treat it as one perspective to reflect on, not as fact or instruction.
4. Your account
The app requires an account, created by signing in with Apple or Google. Keep access to your sign-in secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. One person may hold one account. Tell us at support@tarottoldme.app if you believe your account has been used without your permission.
5. Insights and purchases
What insights are. Some features of the app are unlocked with “insights”, a virtual item used only inside the app. Insights are a limited license to use features. They are not money, have no cash value, and cannot be sold, transferred, or exchanged for money, except where the law requires.
Buying. Insights are sold in packs through the app store on your device (Apple App Store or Google Play). The price is shown before you confirm. The app store takes the payment under its own terms. There is no subscription.
Refunds. Purchases are final and non-refundable, except where the law gives you a right that cannot be waived. Refund requests are handled by the app store that took the payment, under its refund policy. We cannot issue refunds of money ourselves.
If something fails. If a paid reading cannot be generated because of a technical error, the insight is returned to your balance.
Free insights and promo codes. We may give insights or promo codes for free. They have no cash value, and we may limit, change, or withdraw them. Creating multiple accounts to collect free insights is not allowed.
Changes. We may change prices, pack sizes, and what an insight unlocks for future purchases and uses.
If the Service ends. If we close the Service, we will give at least 30 days’ notice in the app or by email. After the closing date, unused insights are canceled without compensation, except where the law requires otherwise.
6. Free tools and share cards
The tools and card meanings on the website are free and need no account. You may download and share the result cards you create for personal, non-commercial purposes, as long as you do not alter or remove the Tarot Told Me branding.
7. Your content
You keep the rights to what you write in the Service, such as questions and answers. You give us a worldwide, royalty-free license to store and process this content only as needed to run the Service for you, including sending it to our AI provider to generate your readings. The license ends when the content is deleted.
Do not submit content that is unlawful, that infringes someone else’s rights, or that contains other people’s personal information without their permission.
8. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the Service for anything unlawful or to harm others;
- copy, scrape, or collect content from the Service by automated means;
- reverse engineer the app or bypass its technical limits or protections;
- interfere with the Service or try to access accounts or data that are not yours;
- resell, rent, or commercially exploit the Service or its content;
- present readings from the Service to others as professional advice.
9. Our content and brand
The Service, including the card artwork, texts, design, software, and the Tarot Told Me name and logo, belongs to us or our licensors and is protected by law. We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for your own non-commercial use. All other rights are reserved.
If you send us feedback or ideas, we may use them freely and without payment.
10. Emails and notifications
We may send you service messages about your account, purchases, or changes to these terms. Newsletters and the email course are sent only if you sign up, and you can unsubscribe at any time. Push notifications are optional.
11. Changes, suspension and ending
We may change, add, or remove features, and we may suspend or stop the Service or any part of it. We do not promise that the Service will always be available or free of errors.
You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time in the app settings. Unused insights are lost when an account is deleted.
We may suspend or close your account if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, or if we must do so by law. Where reasonable, we will warn you first.
12. Disclaimer
To the fullest extent the law allows, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that any reading, card meaning or other content is accurate, complete, or right for you. You use the Service and rely on its content at your own risk.
13. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows:
- we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, for loss of profits, data, or goodwill, or for decisions you make or actions you take based on the Service;
- our total liability for all claims relating to the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid for insights in the 12 months before the claim arose, or (b) USD 50.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under the law that applies to you, such as liability for intent or gross negligence, or your mandatory rights as a consumer.
14. Indemnity
To the extent the law allows, you agree to cover our reasonable losses and costs arising from a third-party claim caused by your breach of these terms or your unlawful use of the Service.
15. Apple App Store terms
If you downloaded the app from the Apple App Store, the following also applies:
- These terms are between you and us, not Apple. We, not Apple, are solely responsible for the app and its content.
- Your license is limited to using the app on Apple devices you own or control, as permitted by the App Store usage rules.
- Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app.
- If the app fails to meet an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price of the app, if any. To the extent the law allows, Apple has no other warranty obligation.
- We, not Apple, are responsible for handling claims about the app, including product liability, legal compliance, consumer protection, and intellectual property claims.
- You confirm that you are not located in a country under a US Government embargo or designated as “terrorist supporting”, and are not on any US Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.
16. Governing law and disputes
If you have a problem, please write to support@tarottoldme.app first. We will try to resolve it within 30 days.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Serbia, and the courts of the Republic of Serbia have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, this does not take away the protection of mandatory laws of the country where you live, or your right to bring a claim in the courts of that country where those laws give you that right.
17. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. If a change is significant, we will tell you in the app or by email at least 14 days before it takes effect. If you keep using the Service after that date, you accept the new terms. If you do not agree, stop using the Service and delete your account.
18. General
- If part of these terms is found invalid, the rest stays in force.
- If we do not enforce a term, that is not a waiver of it.
- You may not transfer your rights under these terms. We may transfer ours as part of a reorganization or sale of the business.
- These terms, with the Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, are the whole agreement between you and us about the Service.
- These terms are written in English. Translations are provided for convenience. If versions differ, the English version prevails, unless the law of your country requires otherwise.
